Terms and conditions

Acceptance of these terms

By browsing this site or using anything it links to, you agree to the terms on this page. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

About the site

opensimfx is an information site: it introduces the opensimfx simulation add-ons for Blender and links to their homes on GitHub. The site itself does not host software downloads; everything is served from our public repositories.

The products

BlastFX is a simulation add-on for Blender, distributed as source code under the GPL-3.0-or-later license from its public repository. It is in public beta: features and requirements may change between releases. RainFX, FlowFX and HazeFX are planning-stage concepts: no code, downloads or promises exist for them yet.

Software licenses and downloads

Downloads are published on the GitHub releases page. BlastFX is licensed, not sold: the GPL-3.0-or-later text (linked from the repository) grants you the right to use, study, modify and redistribute the add-on, and it is the license — not this page — that governs the software. The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Trademarks

Blender is a registered trademark of the Blender Foundation. opensimfx products are independent add-ons for Blender and are neither affiliated with, nor endorsed by, the Blender Foundation.

Acceptable use

Don't disrupt the site, the repositories or the resources of everyone else using them: no scraping aimed at GitHub rate limits, no spam in the issue trackers, no unlawful use of the project's infrastructure. Using the software itself is bound by its license, not by this list.

Warranty and liability

The site and its content are provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any damage or loss resulting from use of the site, the software or the linked repositories. Nothing here limits liability where that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the project grows. The date above reflects the latest revision; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
