One ecosystem. Multiple physical worlds.
BlastFX
Procedural cinematic explosions for Blender
A modular Blender add-on for authoring physically based procedural cinematic explosions with Mantaflow. One click assembles the full blast stack — fireball, dust, shockwave, debris, flash and heat haze — timed from the physical event timeline, not hand-keyframes.
- Profiles, not magic numbers
- Physically timed secondary FX
- Background bake worker
- Cache you can trust
- Quality tiers
- Scene safety
How the tools are built
Open source
Every line of simulation code is inspectable on GitHub under GPL-3.0-or-later. Bugs, behavior and calibration data are there for you to read.
Modular design
Each tool targets one simulation domain. Products share approach and infrastructure, never a monolith.
Blender integration
Built on native scene, simulation and rendering systems — Mantaflow domains, collections, Cycles — not parallel engines.
Reproducible workflows
Deterministic profiles, presets and content-addressed caches where implemented, so bakes survive session reloads and scale changes.
Extensible architecture
The platform is designed to accept additional simulation-domain tools without redesign of the core.
